English Language Courses for international
students
For French school students we organise an English
Camp in June & July: see below.
Throughout the year
Gort Ard provides full-board accommodation for students of any nationality
who wish to attend English classes in one of the language academies
in Galway. We can provide advice on language schools and facilitate
bookings. For futher information contact

English Language Camp 2013:
Camp: 9th June to 6th July (for
French schoolboys).
Booking may be made for 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

Part of this camp is
being organised in parallel with a French Camp for native
English speakers, with separate classes in the mornings and
combined activities in the afternoons and evenings.
Full academic, cultural
and sporting programme. Three hours of English lessons a day.
Emphasis on communication skills. Students are prepared and entered
for the TIE:
Test of Interactive English
Examination and Certificate - www.tie.ie
Camps consist of English classes and personal tuition, cultural, sporting
and recreational activities organised in Gort Ard and around Galway:
football,volleyball, basketball, tennis, orienteering, hiking &
swimming: There is also a full-day excursion weekly to places outside
of Galway, for example to the Aran Islands, Connemara, the Cliffs
of Moher or an outdoor adventure centre.

Ard Language Camps
Full board accomodation is provided in Gort Ard in shared or single
rooms.
A small number of students may be placed to live in host family accomodation
at the discretion of Gort Ard and in consultation with parents.
The fee envisages students arriving on Sundays. English classes begins
on Monday morning. The camp finishes on Friday night of the second
week with an end of course party. Students are expected to depart
on Saturday.
There will be an extra charge for early arrivals or late departures.
